Expotuna S.A is a frozen fish and seafood processing and marketing enterprise that began operations in 2005. Since its inception, it has remained committed to continuous improvement in quality, food safety, and industrial security.
It adheres to the highest quality standards, with its products undergoing semi-annual validation by the National Fisheries Institute (INP) and annual certification under the BRC (British Retail Consortium) Global Standard for Food Safety, consistently achieving an “A” rating.
Expotuna S.A is strategically located in Guayaquil, the plant benefits from proximity to Ecuador’s two principal ports—Guayaquil and Manta. This geographic advantage ensures a reliable supply of fresh seafood and enables swift containerized shipping, reinforcing the company’s commitment to efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
A dedicated quality control team supervises and analyzes every stage of production around the clock—24 hours a day, 365 days a year—to maintain the highest standards.
Particular emphasis is placed on product integrity. From catch to processing, packaging, storage, and shipment, each stage is subject to strict national and international inspections. This rigorous oversight guarantees full traceability and ensures consistent quality in line with the expectations of discerning global markets.
The company has recently expanded its harvesting, production, and storage capacities, enhancing its ability to meet international demand with competitively priced, high-quality products under its various brands.
Fleet of Ships
We operate a fleet of national and international industrial vessels, as well as one of the largest artisanal fishing fleets in Ecuador. Our highly trained crews adhere to HACCP standards and maintain strict on-site quality control.
All vessels are equipped with advanced refrigeration systems calibrated between 0°C and 4.5°C, ensuring optimal preservation of fish from the moment of capture through to processing.
In addition, we employ the latest fishing technologies to promote sustainable harvesting practices and protect marine ecosystems.
Delivery Fleet
Transportation and distribution are carried out daily using our dedicated nationwide fleet of refrigerated vehicles, ensuring the integrity of the cold chain and preserving the freshness and quality of our products throughout delivery.
